My favorite part about my school district is the access to special education and alternative education options. Our different kinds of schools like Art, Science, and Engineering are inspiring to young people. My least favorite part would have to be the location of certain schools. Some are along very busy roads with minimal security making it unsafe for students. I’d like to see more care when it comes to the security at schools

Tacoma school district is extremely diverse, I have made friends from all different backgrounds. The school district recognizes that it’s students come from various backgrounds and they do the best job of making the students feel seen and heard. They are doing a better job of incorporating interesting topics into their curriculum. The teachers are amazing and care about their students ability to comprehend the work and in doing so they kind of lack in the area of teaching that will ensure college readiness, so if anything has to change it would be that.

The best parts of this district is the involvement from every single department, they’re always involved and looking for ways to improve. Another thing would be the great diversity we have and it truly shows wherever you go that we celebrate everybody uniqueness.
