Once you've added the Store collaborationsite template, it's time to customize it and make it your own.
Note:To edit a SharePoint site,you must be a site owner or site member.

Customize your site's look, site navigation, web parts, and content to fit the needs of your viewers and of the organization. When making customizations, first ensure the site is in edit mode by selecting Edit in the top right of the site. As you work, you canSave as draft, or Republish changes to make edits visible to viewers.
1. Show links to frequently used resources

Select the Quick Links web part and chooseEditweb part .

Edit the link, title, icon, and description if needed.

To add a link, select+ Add links.

2. Provide helpful information using images and text

Select the Text web part.

Edit and format your text within the web part.

Select the Image web part and choose Editweb part .

Select Change and select an image source.

3. Spotlight people of interest

Select the People web part and choose Editweb part .

Enter aperson's name or emailto find them in the organization's directory.

4. Highlight news for your organization

5. Build anticipation for upcoming events

Select the Countdown web part and choose Editweb part .

Enter the date and time of your event and choose your options.

Add a call to action link and a background image to be displayed with the timer.

6. Display upcoming events and important dates

Select the Events web part and choose Editweb part .

Select theSource, Date range, andtheLayout for events to be displayed.

Enter the maximum number of itemsthat should be listed in this web part.

7. Give access to shared documents

Select the Document library web part and chooseEdit web part .

Select a Document library to display.

To edit document library folders, labels, and content, navigate to the library in Site content, make your edits, and the updates will appearin the web part.

8. Add pictures to your site

Select the Image web part and choose Edit web part .

Then, select Change and select an image source.

10. Draw attention to resources

Add a background image by clicking Change in the editing pane, selecting an image source, and selecting Insert after choosing an image.

Update the Button label and Button link to the navigation destination.

Customize the look and site navigation
Before you share your site with others, put the finishing touches on your site by ensuring users can find the site, navigate through links and pages easily, and quickly access content on the site.

Edit document libraries by updating the folder names and uploading resources.

Edit and customize site navigation.

Change the look of your site by customizing the theme, logo,header layouts, and the look of your site.

Add or remove pages to this site or the site navigation to accommodate existing content.

Choose to associate this site with a hub site within your organization, or add this site to an existing hub site navigation if needed.
