Extreme tooth sensitivity 2 days after using whitening strip on chipped tooth. What can I do? Could it be serious?I used Crest whitening strips the other day for the first time. Is sharp gum pain after an in-office tooth whitening with a dentist a concern?I just received a whitening treatment today at my dentist and only my gum around my canine hurts. Its a sharp jolt of pain that randomly occurs, its not very red or swollen just the pain. The dentist said I had two sore spots and the canine is one of them but the other spot is pain free. Pain and swelling from cheek retractor in teeth whitening procedure days on. Help! (Photo)I went to get my teeth whitened the other day and experienced an intitial swolen upper lip (mostly in the middle) and a bit on my lower lip. I thought this was normal but two days on my lip is still swolen read and in pain just in the middle from what I presume was the check retractors and a mix of UV light. Zingers pain @ three weeks post whitening
I used a Crest White Strip 5 days ago. I have been in the worst pain everyday since. I don't have sensitive teeth. I have used these strips probably 100 times. I haven't used them in 4-5 months, but I left the strip on for 20 minutes, even though it calls for 30, since I hadn't done it in a while. I don't understand why my gums are so terribly swollen and sore. Every time I brush my teeth, they bleed and today (the 5th day) even my teeth hurt.
