SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said several people have been arrested in connection to drug-related activity at an Upstate apartment complex.
According to the sheriff’s office, over the past several weeks, Spartanburg County Narcotics Investigators were advised of possible drug-related activity occurring at The Hub at Palmetto Pointe Apartments.
Officials said investigators conducted surveillance on the apartment building on several occasions to try and determine the specific apartment where the drug-related activity was occurring.
Investigators were able to identify several subjects related to the apartment and obtain a search warrant. On Thursday, investigators began surveillance on the apartment before executing the search warrant.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., a white Nissan Altima with three occupants left the apartment and traveled toward Boiling Springs. Investigators initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on Parris Bridge Road.
During the stop, the passengers of the vehicle who were identified as 27-year-old Dandre Sanchez Franklinand Robert Lamont Goudlock, Jr., 27, were both found to have active arrest warrants, the sheriff’s office said.
According to the sheriff’s office, during the search of Goudlock Jr. before placing him into a patrol vehicle, he was found to be in possession of approximately 473 grams of methamphetamine.
Both Goudlock Jr. and Franklin were transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center for booking on their outstanding arrest warrants.
Goudlock Jr. was charged with trafficking methamphetamine over 400 grams.
After the traffic stop, investigators returned to the apartment and executed the search warrant.
During the execution of the warrant, 25-year-old Koby Brannon Dawkins, Niare James Oglesby, 27, Jashawn Kwesi Peake, 27 years old and 23-year-old Amoni Mone Riley, were located inside.
A search of the apartment was conducted, and the following items were recovered:
- 936 grams of methamphetamine
- 3.9 grams of mushrooms
- 19.9 grams of marijuana
- 183 grams of Oxycodone pills
- Multiple broken pieces of Alprazolam pills
- Draco 7.62 rifle
- Glock 26 handgun
All four subjects were arrested and transported to the county jail for booking.
Peake was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, PWID sch. 4, PWID marijuana, PWID sch. 1 and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Dawkins, Oglesby and Riley were charged with trafficking methamphetamine and PWID sch.1.
