One of my favorite Mase stories, however is from an interview with NASCAR driver Keith McGee and the time he asked Mase to fund a race.

The story begins when McGee stumbles on a TikTok of Mase placing $4.5 million in a suitcase:

And had an idea — what if he had Mase fund his car for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series by gambling? He reaches out to Mase, and Mase surprises him by agreeing. McGee withdraws his last $10,000, flies to Vegas, and meets Mase at the casino to try their luck.

After losing McGee’s initial $10,000, Mase puts in $10,000 of his own money, which they also lost during their first day. Then, magic happened and Mase brings their tally up to $81,000 and says “…let’s go racing.”

Though McGee didn’t win the race (he placed 32^nd), this race had to be memorable for him. Obviously this is just one tale, but Mase did quite the opposite of scamming anyone, instead showing he can be a generous gambler with gambling & poker skills to help others.
