Best Lone Samurai Build In Conan Exiles: Age Of Sorcery

The Lone Samurai build for Conan Exiles is an Agility-based build that (unsurprisingly) depends heavily on Agility-based weapons, Light Armor pieces, and an Attribute build that focuses on HP and Stamina recovery while gaining bonuses for increased damage. As a result, the Samurai build in Conan Exiles lets you tackle multiple enemies quickly without drastically losing HP and Stamina while stacking damage bonuses and boosting movement speed during basic actions to make your attack more lethal.

Conan Exiles Lone Samurai Build: Best Attributes, Stats & Perks

The Lone Samurai build will heavily rely on your HP and Stamina pools to perform continuous light attacks and take advantage of various perk bonuses gained. As you’ll mainly focus on Agility, Vitality, and Grit for HP, Stamina, and increased damage bonuses, some points will be added to Strength to unlock the Combo Master perk.

Let’s take a look at all the Attributes needed for the Lone Samurai build, including all the stats and which perks to unlock:

  • Strength: 10
  • Agility: 15
  • Vitality: 20 (Max)
  • Authority: 0
  • Grit: 15
  • Expertise: 0

Strength

Choosing the Strength Attribute determines the damage dealt by Strength-based weapons and increases your load. Additionally, you’ll be gaining bonuses for increased armor and damage under different conditions.

  • Heavy Blows: Deal 10% more damage using heavy and special attacks.
  • Combo Master: Combo finishers will inflict 20% increased damage.

Agility

This Attribute premises on boosting your damage output from Agility-based weapons. Additionally, you can gain armor penetration; any movement will reduce Stamina but make you much faster and gain some Stamina back.

  • Backstab: Attacks from behind will deal 15% increased damage.
  • Precision Strike: Your armor penetration is increased by 10% if you carry a light or medium load.
  • Quickfooted: Climbing, jogging, jumping, sprinting, and swimming will cost less Stamina and will be faster.

Vitality

The Vitality attribute primarily deals with your health or HP, which you’ll max out to gain the various perks for the Conan Exiles Lone Samurai build. You’ll need as much HP regeneration as possible, so you’ll be spending much of your Attribute points in Vitality.

  • Fierce Vitality: You will gain passive health regeneration.
  • Fast Healer: Healing effects will give you 50% increased healing.
  • Robust: Your max HP will be increased by 100.
  • Glutton for Punishment: After taking damage, the last amount of damage taken will regenerate for 15 seconds.

Grit

The Grit attribute will influence your Stamina pool's size and directly affect the armor equipped. As HP and Stamina will be a massive issue with the Lone Samurai build in Conan Exiles due to the Armor weight, you’ll need to get the perks to help you regain that Stamina.

  • Tenacity: Your armor is increased by 40 and your Stamina by 20.
  • Endurance: Stamina regenerates 25% faster.
  • Defensive Posture: Incoming damage will be 15% less when attacking or blocking.

Conan Exiles Lone Samurai Build: Best Weapons, Armor & More

For players looking to embody the ways of the Samurai from an armor standpoint, any Light Armor sets will function well, given that the armor is scaling with the Agility Attribute. All Light Armor sets and pieces will include the 5% Agility Weapon Damage bonus, which can be crafted by a Tier 4 (T4) Armorer Thrall.

But if you wish to look the part when engaged in combat, the Yamatai armor set is perhaps the armor set that channels the Samurai most appropriately in Conan Exiles. For your weapons, to gain the Agility Weapon Damage bonus, weapons that also scale with Agility will fit with this build, but to compliment it, the Katana will be your main weapon of choice and must be crafted by a T4 Blacksmith.

You’ll need to locate the T4 Blacksmith that grants all weapons an additional bonus of increased damage, like Alphonze the Hammer, Master Blacksmith Kiris, and Phalia the Blacksmith. Lastly, you have two weapon upgrades to apply to the Katana: the Fencer Weapon Fitting and the Master Weapon Fitting.

The Fencer Weapon Fitting, once applied, will significantly increase all light attack damage but will reduce your weapon’s Durability and any heavy attack damage. The Master Weapon Fitting, as previously explained in past guides, increases armor penetration but reduces the weapon’s Durability.

Referring back to the Attributes, as you’ve activated the Heavy Blows Strength perk, you won’t gain the perk’s bonus if the Fencer Weapon Fitting is applied to the Katana. However, the choice will remain with you if you wish to move slower between attacks using the Master Weapon Fitting or prefer continuous light attacks to gain the bonus from the Combo Master perk and Fencer Weapon Fitting upgrade.

Consumable items incorporated with this build are optional, but the Aloe Extract potion can be utilized if you need extra healing during combat. You can get the higher versions of the potion like the Concentrated, Pure, or Infused Aloe Extract; due to the Vitality perks activated for this build, the standard Aloe Extract will suffice.
