Great Beach Bar!!!!

Went in with my dog Wiogie while my better half went for a dip in the ocean. The waitress had no issue running a tab. Woogie was a hit with all the staff and patrons who all came over for a hug and a kiss. (For Woogie of course).Staff is super friendly and attentive. Right by the boardwalk and feet from the ocean. Had a great time and would definitely come back!!!!!

Right on the beach in the sand!!

This place is right across the boardwalk right on the sand almost in front of the Tropicana so it's an easy walk there, a tipsy one back :) Very fun atmosphere, you can sit up at the bar or on one of the loungers in the sand, tan, and relax. A beachy place to hang for an afternoon in the summer, convenient if you are staying at the Tropicana.

Liked the Decor and the Servers Vintage/Retro Bathing Suits

My spouse and I stopped at the Chelsea Beach Bar for drinks on a Friday afternoon in mid-July 2018. The bar is open seasonally from 10:00 am until 12:00 midnight. It is one of several temporary bars (in addition to Bally’s Bikini Beach Bar and an [independently owned] Bungalow Bar) set up on the sand between Atlantic City’s boardwalk and the ocean. (Resorts LandShark Bar and Grill is the only permanent beach bar, although it too has some transitory elements).The Beach Bar is associated with Tropicana Casino and Resort (which acquired The Chelsea and The Annex hotels in 2017). Patrons walk down a wooden boardwalk-like ramp to reach the bar’s position on the sand, the flooring of which is also constructed of wooden boards (therefore, ladies, wear either flats or wedge heels rather than spikes/stilettos). Portable bathroom facilities are provided adjacent to the boardwalk. Food comes from an on-site food truck (with items from Teplitzky’s Coffee Shop and Celebrity Corner restaurants). Although drinks at the Chelsea Bar were more expensive than those at Bally’s, but they were also better-tasting, so it was worth the additional cost. Servers attired in classy, vintage red, white, and blue swimsuits were far sexier than the barely-clad servers at Bally’s Bikini Bar. A DJ and live bands provide entertainment. You can sit at the bamboo tiki bar (which sports a red bar top and seating on several sides), at tables (regular-height or high-top), or in one of the comfortable lounge groupings; a few cabana tables are also available. A skinny, pine wood (picket) fence surrounds the bar area, and you can rent umbrellas and loungers outside its limits. It was fun to do a sort of pub crawl along the boardwalk, stopping at several beach bars for a drink.

BEWARE NO PRICES ON MENU

Went day of air show. Overpriced nasty drink. Went to order....very limited menu and NO PRICES on menu. I was too afraid to order, I didn't want to give up my first born for a lobster roll. DLM

Should be Closed

Was staying at the Chelsea (now the Trop) and walked out there for some afternoon drinks. They were out of everything. This is the day before 4th of July. All they had was beer. Everything we ordered was out. We left. It is also very dirty.

First time visitor

I thought the beach bar was nice, drinks were good, waitstaff was on point. I wasn't a fan of the rap type music that was blasting throughout.

Will not ever return

First we thought it was nice to be on the beach for a quick lunch and drink but wow were we ever wrong! The music was so loud that we couldn’t even have a conversation. Price were not on the very limited menu which should have been our first red flag. Price were ridiculous and we aren’t afraid to pay for a good meal but come on one pizza, oats for the two kids and frozen drinks for two adults an a lousy tuna salad wrap with lettuce and it cost us $108.00!!! Service was very slow, including the bartender making the drinks, waitress was more concerned with talking to her friends than checking on us after the food was delivered no one had drinks and we were all parched. And it want even busy! We had to ask the waitress to take the menus. and empty cups so they weren’t blowing around. The only nice thing about this place was they had air conditioned bathrooms for customers only. AND if that’s not enough we had to leave the beach because we were too close to the loud thumping music! Never again!

Worst music ever

We had to move from our spot on the beach due to the very loud, repetitive music from this place. It starts at 10 AM and goes on all day. Do not sit near them on the beach.

Relaxing spot on the beach

This is the perfect place to stop if you are looking for a relaxing spot on the beach. I recently stayed 4 nights in Atlantic City, and three of those days I stopped by for a few drinks. The beer is cold, the staff is super friendly, and it is literally right on the beach. There is something about enjoying a beer and looking out at the ocean. They have a small food menu as well, I only had the pizza and it was good. If you are out on the beach, and need to take a break, this place is definitely for you. They have plenty of room at the bar along with couches, hammocks, and tables and chairs. I know that when I return to the area, this will be one of my first stops.

Beautiful Spot

Went there to check it out because our daughter's name is Chelsea. Very Beautiful layout with large cushioned couches and a view of the ocean. Nice drinks, did not care for the tech-no music, but we are 60. Had a nice time and will go back.

Beautiful scenery

Bar is right on the beach with lots of palm trees. Very beautiful. A very eclectic group of people hang out here, so it's great for people watching. We tried a specialty martini, which wasn't all that great. Not a lot of choices for beer but you'll probably find something you lik.

Relaxing Sunday Afternoon

Comfortable furniture on the beach with palm trees, live entertainment, good light food and lots of alcohol. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back in the summer.
